PRDL has a new home at Junius Institute for Digital Reformation Research of Calvin Theological Seminary

A new digital research center has been launched at Calvin Theological Seminary, and it will serve as the new permanent home of the Post-Reformation Digital Library. The Junius Institute for Digital Reformation Research is a forum for the promotion of research into the Reformation and post-Reformation eras, particularly through the use and development of digital tools and sources. History and overview of the PRDL published in Bulletin of the American Society for Information Science and Technology

PRDL executive board member Jordan J. Ballor wrote a profile of the Post-Reformation Digital Library for the latest issue of the Bulletin of the American Society for Information Science and Technology. His piece, "The Dynamics of Primary Source and Electronic Resource: The Digital Renaissance and the Post-Reformation Digital Library," contains the first published summary of the genesis and history of PRDL, and explores some of the possible futures of the PRDL and other related digital projects.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (October 31, 2011) – On the second anniversary of its public launch, the Post-Reformation Digital Library (PRDL) has become available in an upgraded form with its own domain (www.prdl.org). This new version of the library is powered by a database format, which allows detailed search queries and integrates findings of source material from a wide variety of digital libraries and digitization projects. After more than a year in development, the new website now covers more than double the number of authors and works as its previous iteration.
